Abstract

Years of efforts to vertically integrate the nation's health care system hasn't yielded much in the way of lower costs, reduced utilization and increased revenues. Now, the organization that predicted a nation of fully integrated health care systems identifies five market phenomena that characterize an industry in migration and ten predictions of what will happen in the future.
