The 'whole truth' about practice.
Abstract
All health care professionals must be able to justify their actions. Litigation cases are on the increase. Practice should be based on available evidence. Expert witnesses help the court understand the case and will compare a professional's practice against that reasonably expected of members of the professional's own professional group. Consideration of professional practices now may prevent or minimise the stress of future investigation and justification.
