[Value of mini-laparoscopy].
Abstract
Mini-laparoscopy uses 1.9 mm diameter optical instruments allowing examination of the abdomen following a single puncture. It is an extremely safe and only minimally invasive technique allowing accurate staging of liver disease as well as sensitive detection of tumor dissemination. It can be performed as an outpatient procedure. Its most common indication is for accurate staging of liver fibrosis, where it is much superior to all other techniques.
