Staying committed.

Abstract

After an intensive and collaborative two-year effort, the Michigan Health and Safety Coalition (MH&SC) has publicly released hospital-specific information for seven serious medical conditions and for care provided in intensive care units. Hospitals' willingness to share this information and to commit to participation in ongoing collaborative improvement activities serves as a catalyst to achieving a mutual goal--statewide, systemic improvement in the safety and quality of health care.
