Abstract

The recent call by John Reid, Health Secretary, for a National Health Debate has put healthcare provision very much into the public eye. With Government funding stretched to the limit, and over 3,000 outdated GP facilities on NHS books, Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) are offering a viable solution to uprooting even the most deep-seated causes of health inequalities. Barry Panton, chairman of specialist health and social care investor Prime, takes a look at the issues.
