Nasal ventilation.
Abstract
Intermittent positive-pressure ventilation through a nasal mask is an effective, simple, non-invasive method of domiciliary ventilatory support in patients with chronic respiratory disease. It has recently been used in other situations, including intensive care, and can considerably improve the management of patients with chronic respiratory failure.
