[Extramural research granting: effects and side effects].
Abstract
Extramural funding is an indispensable support of the dual financing system of research and innovative teaching, and its importance will certainly grow in the future. Although individually necessary, supported by the government, and legally regulated, extramural funding is associated to a number of possible conflicts that complicate its management. Well-defined rules in faculty administration (extramural grant ordinance) and unambiguous contracts are the best preposition for successful and undisturbed usage of extramural funding.
