OSHA and the private practitioner.
Abstract
The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) was passed by Congress over 20 years ago. Although the Act excludes workplaces with 10 employees or fewer, those employers affected are rarely knowledgeable about the Act provisions as they pertain to the specific workplace. Physicians' offices may have enough employees that compliance with OSHA is necessary. This brief article describes some highlights of regulations affecting health care workplaces.
