Abstract

Interventional Imaging research has two objectives: developing new materials for atraumatic percutaneous and image-guided access to pathologies and organs, and their treatment tools. This represents a new field of research of Biomedical Engineering, which is at the cross-point of medical and engineering techniques. It requires a major input from industrial firms.
