The processed silicone gingival prosthesis: a simple solution to a complex problem.
Abstract
The clinical use of a flexible, removable gingival prosthesis that is constructed by the dental laboratory on a stone cast to reproduce interdental spaces resulting from gingival recession is described. The thin prosthesis replaces lost gingival tissue and is retained by extension into interproximal undercuts. It is readily removable for convenient home care.
