[Peritoneal regeneration. A case report].
Abstract
Split-thickness skin grafts are used to cover exposed viscera in patients with defects in the abdominal wall. This results in a very strong covering which eventually separates from the underlying viscera. The pathophysiology of the recovery process is discussed, with reference to experience gained from a patient treated with this technique.
