Continuous quality improvement: a tide whose time has come.
Abstract
Hospitals and physicians need to learn more about continuous quality improvement (CQI). Hand-in-hand with CQI is total quality management (TQM). Physicians must move with the tide of quality improvement, with all its implications. The author offers a primer on CQI.
