Research, patients and nurses.
Abstract
The use of human subjects in research is becoming more of a concern to the public and health care professionals. With the advent of experimental drugs, like AZT, the conflict between caring for and treating patients versus advancing scientific knowledge becomes clear. Nurses asked to assist in research studies are particularly concerned when the subjects are their patients.
