Wiktor coronary stent.
Abstract
The Wiktor stent is a unique balloon-expandable tantalum coil stent currently undergoing clinical trials to determine the efficacy and safety of the device for reducing restenosis and for salvaging a failed angioplasty (bailout). This article discusses the stent in detail, the procedure, possible complications, and its advantages and disadvantages.
