Continuing education.

Abstract

One view of the aims and objectives of continuing education is presented. Problems in the form of educational material and access to present educational opportunities are outlined together with some suggestions for overcoming these problems. Self evaluation is emphasised as an important means of maintaining educational standards rather than "re-licensure". Several new approaches are presented which attempt to increase access and acceptability in continuing education.
