A case of solitary angiomyofibroblastoma of the vulva in a 16-year-old woman was examined by histology and immunohistochemistry. Microscopic examination of the tumor revealed typical features of a mesenchymal neoplasm, composed of bundle spindle cells with low cellular density, rich in collagen fibers and thin-walled blood vessels. Immunohistochemistry revealed immunoreactivity for progesterone receptor, CD34, desmin and vimentin, tumor cells expressing positivity, but not for estrogen receptors. The stains for the muscle-specific actin and S-100 were negative. These results were mostly consistent with those of previous reports and suggest that the tumors cells were derived from primitive mesenchymal cells which occur normally in this region and show the potential for diverse lines of myoid differentiation.

Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors are neoplasms characterized by spindle cell proliferation and a fiboinflammatory vascular stroma. Herein, we presented the successful treatment of a rectal inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor in an 11-year-old boy who presented with diarrhea and abdominal pain of 1(1/2) months duration and an appendiceal inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor in a 29-year-old man presented with recurrent abdominal pain of two months duration with associated tenderness and rebound tenderness in the right lower abdomen. Histologically, our cases had inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors very similar to that of other sites; the spindle cells were positive for vimentin and muscle-specific actin.

Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is a rare tumor with a variable natural history and biologic behavior, ranging from completely benign to malignant with fatal outcome. We report a case of benign IMT in the left nasal cavity with radiologic features mimicking angiofibroma. We also demonstrate the hypervascular nature of this disease on angiography and the contribution of preoperative embolization in assisting surgical excision and minimizing the potential uncontrolled intraoperative bleeding.
Six case reports of leiomyoblastoma are presented, five involving stomach, and one involving jejunum. The malignant potential of these tumors is questionable. The literature is summarized and the symptomatology, age and sex predominance commented upon. A brief pathological description is noted. The survival statistics, although unmeaningful at this time, are presented.

Two cases of benign granular cell tumor of the stomach which were found incidentally are reported. A review of the literature disclosed 10 case reports and three other cases which were mentioned. Despite the small size of the tumors eight of the 10 cases produced gastrointestinal signs or symptoms. A brief discussion of the histogenesis of the lesion is presented.
