[Endolymphatic polychemotherapy in comprehensive treatment of pulmonary cancer after a radical surgery].

Introduction of chemopreparations in lymphatic vessels are easily tolerated by patients, permitting to enhance in 1.5-2 times their dosage and to reduce the introduction duration. Application of adjuvant endolymphatical polychemotherapy for a nonsmall cell pulmonary cancer in cases of tumor size more than 5 cm and (or) presence of metastases in regional lymphatic nodes in comparison with generally accepted polychemotherapy promotes the index of a one-year survival increase from 72 to 81.8%, three-year one-from 38 to 52.3% and five-year-from 28 to 38.6%.

[The treatment of patients with acute appendicitis by a short-term stay in the hospital].

An analysis of results of treatment of 102 patients with acute appendicitis has shown that use of non-direct endolymphatic therapy decreases the amount of antibiotics and analgetics administered after surgery, leads to less frequency of postoperative complications and the patients can be discharged from the hospital within the first 6 days after operation.

Acute Disease↗

[The application of endolymphatic polychemotherapy in inoperative cancer of the lungs].

In 164 patients with inoperable pulmonary cancer endolymphatical infusion of cyclophosphamide and metotrexate had promoted the efficacy and security promotion of polychemotherapy conduction in comparison with such a therapy, using intravenous introduction of preparations. It was noted the increase of a life span and a five-year survival of the patients.

[The effect of antibiotic therapy on the immune status of patients with nonspecific lung diseases complicated by pleural empyema].

The immunity status was studied in patients with acute pyo-destructive lung diseases complicated by purulent pleurisy (relative counts of T- and B-lymphocytes, subpopulation composition of T-cells, numbers of lymphocytes-killers, and functional state of neutrophils of the peripheral blood). These patients revealed significant cellular immunodeficiency, rise in B-lymphocytes, and apparent changes in the activity of the peripheral blood phagocytes. The endolymphatic drug route was found out to be superior to conventional ones in that it had more expressed normalizing action on the quantitative and functional state of T-lymphocytes, their subpopulation composition (manifested by augmentation of T-cells-helpers), as well as on the level of B-lymphocytes, lymphocytes-killers, and metabolic activity of neutrophils of the peripheral blood.

[Magnetic laser therapy in combination with lymphotropic drugs administration in treating teenagers with common forms of tuberculosis].

The paper shows the efficiency of combined use of magnetic laser therapy (MLT) and lymphotropic drug therapy in 40 teenagers with common forms of tuberculosis. The use of laser makes it possible to modify methods of regional lymphotropic therapy, to prolong its use and increase indications for it. MLT in combination with lymphotropic drug therapy accelerates positive changes and hence enhances the efficiency of tuberculosis treatment.

[Dynamics of immune status in patients with phlegmons of the maxillofacial area during endolymphatic antibiotic therapy]].

Studies of immunotropic effects of ampicillin, gentamicin sulfate, lincomycin, and rifampicin SV used in endolymphatic therapy of patients with maxillofacial phlegmons demonstrated a pronounced immunomodulating effect of rifampicin SV in polygluquine. The immunomodulating effect of lincomycin was lower, and that of ampicillin virtually null. Gentamicin sulfate suppressed some parameters of the immune status.

[Effectiveness of lymphotropic therapy in patients with tuberculosis in relations to genetic markers].

To study whether a combination of the carriage of genetic blood markers: haptoglobin phenotypes and red blood cell glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, 60 patients with destructive tuberculosis were given a new drug treatment regimen by using regional lymphotropic therapy with 10% isoniazid. The efficiency of the treatment and residual changes were found to be directly related to what a patient has as genetic background. Defining the types of combinations of genetic markers may predict the course of disease, the efficiency of treatment, and outcomes.

[Pathologic morphology of cervical carcinoma with endolymphatic infusion of immuno-modulating drugs].

Prior to standard therapy, an immunomodulator was administered by endolymphic infusion to 85 patients with cervical carcinoma (T3NxMo), with a view to reinforce treatment. The drug was fed to lymph collectors which were regional and aregional with respect to tumor. Also, the treatment was supplemented with regional infusion of considerable doses of cytostatic mixes. Our morphological evidence pointed to the stimulation of cytostatic effect by immunomodulation.

[Endolymphatic therapy].

Using physiological function of lymphatic vessels and nodes and also a fact that they are a frequent place of spreading of diseases, there are attempts of endolymphatic therapy--it means drug infusions into lymphatic vessels for the purpose of penetrate lymphatic nodes engaged by disease. There are more and more attempts of using the cytostatics placed in liposomes in endolymphatic.

[Lymphotropic antibacterial therapy for preventing inflammatory complications of mandibular fractures].

We propose a new method of preventing infectious and inflammatory complications of mandibular fractures crossing the dental arch. The method was based on regional lymphotropic administration of antibacterial drugs to the mastoid region of the temporal bone. This technique was applied in combined therapy of 51 patients. Comparative analysis with the control group revealed high efficacy of the given method. Basing upon clinical experience we worked out indications to the regional lymphotropic antibacterial therapy as a part of complex prophylaxis of posttraumatic mandible osteomyelitis.

[Optimization of indirect endolymphatic injection of isoniazid in pulmonary tuberculosis].

The authors have substantiated and studied the use of lymphotropic (interstitial) injection of 1% isoniazid solution in the complex therapy of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. The method provides active interstitial functioning of the diseased organ. This leads to a substantial improvement of immediate results of treatment in patients as accelerated closure of decay cavities and double cessation of bacterial isolation.
