[The reflexotherapy of patients with respiratory allergoses].

The paper is concerned with the results of medicamentous, reflex and combined methods of the treatment of 685 patients suffering from respiratory allergoses. Corporeal acupuncture (CA), intal specific hyposensitization (SH) increased 100 times the resistance to allergens; auricular acupuncture (AA), combination of CA with intal increased it 100-fold; SH and CA 1000-fold. CA significantly reduced whereas SH raised the content of IgE in plasma. The content of IgE remained practically unchanged when SH was coupled with CA. The latter one significantly raised plasma cAMP and decreased plasma cGMP. The highest clinical efficacy was attained with the use of combined CA, SH and intal.

[Possibilities of reflexotherapy in the treatment of post-traumatic eye complications].

Reflex therapy was used in the treatment of 448 patients with various post-traumatic conditions of the eye and its appendages. [Corrective effect of reflexotherapy on the hypophyseal-ovarian and sympathetic-adrenal systems after ovariectomy].

The time course of LH, FSH, prolactin, estradiol, hydrocortisone, insulin and catecholamine levels in the blood was followed up in 62 patients of a reproductive age after surgical switch-off of the ovaries. Reflex therapy (electroacupuncture, acupuncture, other types of reflex therapy) included in the complex of postoperative treatment was conductive to the maintenance of a favorable level of hormones contributing to compensatory defense reactions to surgical stress and total ovariectomy.

[Use of manual reflexotherapy for correcting biomechanical changes in the chest and the functional status of the diaphragmatic neuromuscular complex in patients with tuberculosis].

Abnormal biomechanical changes of the osteoarticular and muscular apparatus of the chest were revealed by the method of manual diagnosis in all 72 examined patients in a tuberculosis clinic. They appeared as various functional blocks in the vertebral motor segments and regional postural muscle imbalance which was attended by lower lung ventilation capacity and dysfunction of the diaphragmatic neuromuscular complex. After the course of manual reflex therapy comprising mobilization, manipulations and postisometric relaxation, 80% of the patients felt easier respiration, lower chest stiffness. There was a significant increase of functional capacities of the external respiratory apparatus in all the patients.

[The treatment of occupational fluorosis by acupuncture reflexotherapy].

The article contains the electrodiagnostic data on 26 auricular points in 24 fluorosis-affected patients. It was established that the greatest electrical polarity asymmetry was found in points 13, 25, 28, 31, 54, 37, 39 and 40. Palpation of the auricular and corporal points also showed unfavorable conditions in the respective painful point of the organ. Basing on the results of the acupuncture procedures, needle therapies of 80 occupational fluorosis cases were performed. The therapeutic patterns elaborated by the author were also proposed, which proved perfect results at different stages of the disease.

[The reflexotherapy at the hospital stage of the functional disorders following the surgical shutoff of the ovaries].

Basing on the parameters of psychoemotional status and vegetovascular reactions in 104 patients of a reproductive age after surgical castration, the authors assess the results of combined therapy, including reflex therapy. The postoperative treatment resulted in improvement of psychoemotional status and normalization of the vegetovascular reactions that may be regarded as early manifestations of the post-castration syndrome.
