[Gastric duplication. Apropos of a case detected in an adult in a segment from a total gastrectomy].

Gastric duplications are cystic or tubular formations lying in close proximity to the stomach, gastric localizations representing only 3.8% of these digestive malformations of embryologic origin. They should possess walls contiguous with that of the stomach, and a smooth muscle layer fused with that of the stomach, their covering layer being digestive bat not necessarily gastric epithelium. Its presence was discovered fortuitously in a total gastrectomy piece from a patient with adenocarcinoma. The anatomy, diagnostic and treatment of these malformations are discussed.

Internal organs of the conjoined twins.

Described are the alimentary system, the respiratory system, the urogenital system and the endocrine glands of conjoined female twins. There were found to be present 2 esophagi, 2 stomachs, 2 duodeni, 2 pancreas and one large liver. The intestine is unique from the region of the jejunum to it's end. There were found to be present 2 tracheae and 4 lungs. The urogenital system appeared to be normal. A single deviation was noted with respect to the endocrine glands, in particular, the right adrenal gland had an additional part which entered the thorax through a cleft in the diaphragm.

[A major visceral anomaly from malrotation of the primitive digestive tube (author's transl)].

Report of a case of major anomaly of the primitive digestive tube. Due to gastric malrotation the stomach was located to the right, behind the right lobe of the liver and the duodenum ran upward and to the left, passing behind the major biliary tract (mirror image of the normal gastroduodenal structure). The small intestine having undergone a normal rotation, the splenic flexure did not exist, while the ileum and colon gave an image of inversed "Mesenterium commune" (absence of the transverse colon, the ascending colon to the right and all the small intestine reassembled to the left). The patient, who presented with a choledocholithiasis underwent an Oddian sphincterotomy in an unusual position.
