The authors recommend a clinico-histological classification of nonepithelial tumors of the stomach which allows the clinical course of the tumor to be foreseen and, chiefly, gives orientation concerning the value of operation and the additional treatment with special reference to remote results.
The WHO Histological Classification of Breast Tumors, published in 1968 has been completely revised. This second edition provides a recommended nomenclature, definitions and code numbers for both tumors and tumor-like lesions. It aims at promoting uniformity in recording and reporting diagnoses in order to facilitate international and other comparisons.
The influence of the tumoral histological characters upon growth kinetics and cellular proliferation parameters was studied for autochtonous chemo-induced tumors in mice. In our experimental conditions, the initial minimum volume from which epithelial tumors on one hand and connective tumors on the other hand are observed and then follow a Gompertzian law, was defined. The change of the histological characters of malignancy was observed during the tumoral growth. Intermitotic delays, durations of the cell cycle phases, growth fraction and degree of cell loss were calculated for epithelial and connective tumors.

Skin tags (soft fibromas) are benign connective tissue neoplasms of the dermis. As a rule they occur as soft, skin-colored, filiform, often pedunculated growths in intertriginous areas. The classification and naming of these lesions is somewhat arbitrary due to their banal clinical and histological spectrum of characteristics. We report an unusual case of a peculiar proliferation of dermal and epidermal components that clinically and histologically appears to fit into this category of soft fibroma.
