[Detection of simulation in posttraumatic expertises (author's transl)].

The test PRM, used in examinations of posttraumatic deficits, has allowed the elaboration of a score globalizing anomalies in this protocole, for this type of examination. This score, called "Score Fi", permits to detect doubtfull protocoles. The use of this PRM in a psychiatric hospital permits the hypothesis that the score Fi can also have value of an index of organicity. A study on this topic is in progress.

[Neurotic inhibition].

Inhibition is a normal neuro-physiologic regulation phenomenon which antagonizes the dangerous aspects of excitation and which facilitates the adaptation of man to his surroundings. Inhibition becomes neurotic: -- when it fails in its normative-connection with excitation. -- when accompanied by anxiety, -- when the subject cannot control it, -- however without blocking all the psychic functions as the psychotic inhibition does. Accompanying symptoms diversify its ways of expression. Contemporary to trauma in neurasthenia, it proceeds from early trauma in psychasthenia and in hystero-phobic neuroses. For some authors, it may be innate, perhaps hereditary. It appears particularly severe, because it lasts when the symptomatology has disappeared during the analytic therapy and it seems to resist more than the excitation to chemotherapies.

[Early psychotherapy in posttraumatic syndromes. A case study].

The present study analyses one case of posttraumatic syndrome following an accident, which was apparently benign. The author studies neuropsychological investigations and improvement during psychotherapy, along with intellectual "revalidation". The emotional perturbation is accompanied by a dysfunction in mental efficiency, mostly memory. The improvement takes place both in the affective and intellectual areas. The possible hypothesis regarding the etiology of such perturbations are being reviewed. The author underlines the impact of the emotional trauma along with the subsequent perturbations in a patient already sensitised to previous accidents in her family.
