Abnormalities, Multiple↗

Abnormalities of scrotal contents in children.

Disorders of the scrotal contents in infancy and childhood parallel fairly closely those found in adults and deserve equal consideration. Hydroceles, epididymitis, hernia and cryptorchism are the more common conditions, but injuries, torsion of the spermatic cord and malignant tumors also occur in this age group.Early, accurate diagnosis and definitive treatment increase the prospect for children with testicular disease to develop into healthy, fertile adults.
