[Etiopathogenetic aspects of psoriatic arthritis with special reference to immunologic factors].

On 21 patients with psoriasis and 22 with psoriatric arthritis examinations for the recognition of the immune regulation were performed and the results were compared with those of healthy control persons and patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The psoriatric arthritis shows humoral as well as cellular disturbances of immune regulations which in the group comparison with the psoriasis and the rheumatoid arthritis partly have communities, but partly also have differences. With regard to size and distinction of the disturbances the patients with rheumatoid arthritis have the highest degree of severity. With the help of the techniques used by us systemic cellular disturbances of the immune regulations could not be proved in the psoriasis. The psoriatic arthritis to a certain extent occupies a medium position. But a clear coordination of these disturbances into the pathogenetic process is not yet possible.

[Prognostic factors for differentiation of melanoma patients with and without relapse].

In a retrospective analysis histopathologically determined high risk factors were registered in 150 melanoma patients. In addition immunological tests were carried out in 119 of these patients. Relapses were shown to occur so far only in melanoma patients with one ore more of the following high risk factors: Maximal tumour thickness greater than or equal 3 mm, level V according to Clark, very high mitotic activity, evidence of metastasis, and reduced PHA stimulation in the LTT.

[Peritoneal dialysis treatment in psoriasis vulgaris].

In 8 patients (4 males, 4 females, at the age from 23 to 64 years) with a since 2 to 32 years existing generalised psoriasis vulgaris of pure plaque type a treatment with peritoneal dialysis was performed over a period of 1-6 months with on an average 18 treatment days. A full remission of the changes did not appear in any case, only in one patient a transitory involution of the skin changes and of the arthropathy could be established. In 5 patients the picture of the disease remained uninfluenced, 2 showed a deterioration. Wether this failure of the treatment is conditioned by an inadequate, too little intensive treatment, must, in comparison to the reports of literature, be regarded as little probable. By reason of our results the treatment with peritoneal dialysis according to the scheme mentioned cannot be recommended.
