[Attempts of sensitizing guinea-pigs with five different derivates of para-substituted benzene (author's transl)].

Skin tests with derivatives of para-substituted benzene were carried out at 4 different concentrations on a total of 160 guinea pigs. Results were evaluated macroscopically and histologically. Each substance was tested on 32 animals. Sensitization was obtained with p-aminodiphenylamine in about 50%, with p-toluylenediamine in about 25%, with 1% and 2% p-phenylenediamine in 62% with 5% p-aminoazotoluene in 37%, whereas no sensitization was observed with p-aminobenzoic acid. Thus, p-aminodiphenylamine, p-toluylenediamine and p-phenylenediamine must be regarded as highly sensitizing agents, whereas p-aminozotoluene and p-aminobenzoic acid seem to be less effective respectively non sensitizing.

[Sperm allergy of the anaphylactic type].

A case of an anaphylactic type of allergy is reported with pruritus, mucosal edema, asthma and shock symptoms which developed in a 26 year old female against her husbands sperma fluid. Symptoms and test results are compared with those of six other published cases. Results of skin tests obtained with a fraction of sperma plasma separated by chromatography are indicating that the antigen is of protein nature with a molecular weight of about 14.100. A molecular weight between 12.400 and 24.00 has also been reported in the literature.

[Vitamin B 12-(cyanocobalamin)-allergy].

A case of vitamin B12 allergy is reported. Typical eczematous and exanthematic skin lesions appeared after long-term and high-dosed intake of a vitamin B12 drug (Biovital). Patch tests with vitamin B12 were positive. This observation of vitamin B12 allergy we compared with previous published cases.

[Drug-induced allergic skin reactions of a cutaneous vascular type (author's transl)].

Among drug exanthemata (AE) are included allergic reactions of the cutaneous system which are of a cutaneous vascular type after hematogenous supply of the allergen, which run an immunological course according to the early, Arthus or late type. They are manifested morphologically as urticaria (monosymptomatic or a partial symptom of an anaphylactic or serum sickness syndrome), as macular or maculopapular exanthema (9 days AE) predominantly after ampicillin, as a fixed AE, as Lyell's disease (fatal in about 30% of cases), as erythema multiforme-like AE, as purpura (allergic vasculitis, "carbromal purpura"), as rare lichenoides or nodose AE and as erythematodes-like drug reactions.
