The preparation of a number of derivatives of dibenzo[e.h]bicyclo[2.2.2]octane -2.3-dicarboximide with an expected anxiolytic activity.
Caesarean section in a poor-risk patient treated intensively before and after operation is described. The operation was carried out when the patient was in diabetic coma with metabolic acidosis, electrolyte disturbances and low arterial blood pressure. Anaesthesia was conducted using ketamine with nitrous oxide and oxygen. Controlled respiration was performed administering fractionated doses of suxzmethonium.
In the reaction of 4-desmethylkhelline with ethyl alpha-bromobutyrate or alpha-bromovalerate we obtained alpha-[7-methyl-9-methoxy-5-oxo-furo[3,2-g] [1] benzopyranoxy-4]-butyric 2 and valeric 3 acids and later their dialkylaminoethylesters as hydrochlorides (2b--2, 3b--3e). Compounds 2c, 2e, 2f (Table 1) and 3e (Table 2) show a weak hypotensic activity. Moreover compound 2f possesses an antriarrhythmic activity.
Aminoesters of the following acids were obtained: 4,6-diacetyl-5-hydroxy- and -5-methoxy-2-methylbenzofuran-3-carboxylic, 5,7-diacetyl-6-hydroxy- and -6-methoxy 3 methylbenzofuran-2-carboxylic, 6-hydroxy-7-p-methoxy-3-methylcinnamoyl-coumarilic and 4,7-dimethoxy-6-hydroxybenzofuran-5-carboxylic. The hydrochlorides of these aminoesters displayed hypotensive and antiarrhythmic activity in doses of 5-10 mg/kg.
New 3-methyl-5-methoxy-6-hydroxy-7-acetylcoumaronic acid and several its esters with aminoalcohols have been obtained. By the condensation of this compound with ethyl acetate and sodium 3,7-dimethyl-5-methoxy-9-H-furo [2, 3-f] [1] benzopyran--on-2-carboxylic acid was obtained. Aminoesters of this acid show a weak hypotensive activity.
