[Changes in the internal organs after hemodilution under hyperbaric oxygenation].

It has been shown in experiments on dogs that following blood replacement with a plasma substitute up to 0.5-2.5 g/100 ml Hb at an oxygen pressure of 3 at. abs., the morphological changes seen in the cerebral hemispheres, heart, liver, kidneys and lungs assume an adaptation character and are rapidly reversible. Microcirculatory disorders were found to play the leading part in the genesis of cellular changes recorded. The blood analysis data revealed the relationship between the degree of hemodilution and microvascular permeability and overall shifts in energy formation. To reduce the functional tension in the organ tissue systems, it is advisable to exercise the correction of the plasma substitute composition by which the permeability of the histohematic barrier could be stabilized. The hemodilution technique may be applied under hyperbaric oxygenation both in surgery and other fields of medicine with on object of replacing donor's blood by hemodynamic plasma substitutes.

[Mechanism of the stimulating effect of an electric current on reparative regeneration of bone tissue].

Experiments were conducted on rabbits. Changes in ATP in the regenerating bone tissue after incomplete osteotomy and removal of a bone section, and also in cases of reparative osteogenesis stimulation in the region of the bone defect by means of pulse electric current were studied. ATP content in the bone callus after incomplete osteotomy and electrostimulation proved to exceed such in the regenerating bone tissue following removal of the bone fragment when no stimulation was applied. On the basis of the data obtained it is suggested that improvement of energy provision of the fracture consolidation process was one of the important links in the mechanism of stimulating influence of the electric current on the reparative regeneration of the bone tissue.

[Fibroblast differentiation during collagen formation].

The successive differentiation in the series lymphocyte--(lymphocyte-type cell--precursor)--weakly differentiated cell (polyblast)--profibroblast--fibroblast was shown by means of scanning and transmission electron microscopy. In the focus of aseptic inflammation and in the zones of pneumosclerosis (silicosis), the ultrastructural and cytochemical cell rearrangement took place which was accompanied by the development of protein synthesizing organelles and the formation of folded surface. The collagen fibers run from the surface of the differentiated fibroblasts in the ground substance and preserve the direction of their growth with respect to the spatial position of cells.

[Histochemical study of fibroblasts and fibrous structures of the derma of rats in the process of postnatal development].

The histochemical data on the protein and carbohydrate exchange of fibroblasts in the period of intensive formation of fibres of the rats derm in the process of postnatal development are presented. The interrelationships between the size, the content of RNA, polysaccharides, proteins, the fibroblast enzyme activity and their fibreforming function is shown.
