Acrylic anaerobic sealants are widely used in engineering and electronic industries. They may induce allergic contact dermatitis of the first three fingers and onycholysis. We report a case of allergic contact dermatitis due to anaerobic sealants and we underline some practical problems connected with the frequency of sensitization, patch-testing and material safety data sheet availability.
OBJECTIVE: To analyze 10.5 years' experience with hidradenoma papilliferum in Ferrara, Italy. STUDY DESIGN: Review of 8 cases plus 25 from other area clinicians. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The clinical aspects of hidradenoma papilliferum are confusing. The tumor is uncommon, so physicians do not gain enough experience to recognize it. Histology is diagnostic and simple excision curative.
BACKGROUND: Vulvar hematomas may be caused by obstetric, athletic or sexual trauma or by car or bicycle accidents. CASE: A 29-year-old woman presented with a serious vulvar hematoma caused by a straddle bicycle accident. Monitoring of the hematologic parameters showed progressive anemia resulting from silent bleeding, which required surgical evacuation of the hematoma and complete hemostasis. CONCLUSION: The rich vulvar vascular network may be easily damaged by contusive frontal impacts, which crush the vulvar tissues against the osseous planes. Management of vulvar hematomas may range from conservative to surgical. Drainage and incision are advised in more severe cases to reduce infective complications and hospitalization.

Metastatic Crohn's disease (MCD) is a cutaneous granulomatous reaction which affects patients with bowel disease in areas of the skin distant from the affected bowel. Penile involvement is a very uncommon observation. We report a case of penile ulcerative MCD in a 37-year-old man, which requested surgical management. The lesion developed during reactivation of the bowel disease.

BACKGROUND: Irritants, friction and occlusion favor dermatitis or inflammatory reactions in the diaper area. Diaper dermatitis is not found exclusively in children but also in adults wearing a diaper for urinary incontinence. CASE: We report a case of eroded papules on the labia majora in a woman with urinary incontinence. CONCLUSION: Erythema papuloerosive of Sevestre and Jacquet is an unusual dermatitis due to irritant agents in the diaper area that may also affect adults. As this dermatitis may resemble neoplasia and venereal disease, it can be easily misdiagnosed, especially in adults.
