It is shown in experiments on mice that injection of Hydra Peptide Morphogen in doses of 30 micrograms/kg normalizes the content of cyclic nucleotides in the liver, disturbed as a result of injury. Hydra Peptide Morphogen did not change the content of cyclic nucleotides in the injured muscle.
Fifth-year students of the medical faculty prepare one of the course of lectures on the subject of healthy lifestyle promotion, using methodological literature supplied by the Chair and the necessary information. This work is carried out during hours reserved for independent training under the supervision of teachers. The students deliver these lectures to schoolchildren during days and hours specified by the timetable. The lecturing includes demonstration of visual aids. Independent training and lecturing, on the one hand, promotes positive motivation in students in relation to the most important part of their future activity--dissemination of medical and hygienic knowledge and, on the other, raises the level of hygienic education among schoolchildren.
Sixty three patients with primary excessive myocardial infarction (MI) were examined. Transcranial electric stimulation (TES) was demonstrated to contribute to more rapid formation of a postinfarction scar, development of compensatory hypertrophy of the preserved myocardium, and improvement of cardiac contractility. TES-induced activation of the endogenous opioid system was found to be one of the mechanisms responsible for stimulation of reparative processes in patients with MI. Introduction of TES into the multimodality therapy for MI improves the clinical picture of the disease, promoting diminution of circulatory failure signs and relapses of angina-associated pains and favoring decrease in the long-term course of MI and frequency of cardiac arrhythmias.

A total of 40 patients with complicated myocardial infarction (MI), with life threatening arrhythmias and congestive heart failure. II-IV degree after Walk's classification, with a concomitant pathology were investigated. Phosphocreatine (PC) therapy (i. v. infusions for 3 days at a total dose of 144 g) made a positive effect on a course of disease. A degree of clinical symptoms of heart failure lessened in 26 patients, disturbed cardiac rhythm got stable in 23 patients. A PC positively inotropic effect was observed. The comparison of the results of PC therapy with those of 173 MI patients on routine therapy showed heart contractility preserved at a higher level and the improvement of gas exchange. A conclusion was made of a favorable effect of the drug on a course of complicated MI.

We investigated the isolated and combined mutagenic effect (ME) of radiation (gamma-irradiation, 0.5 or 2 Gy) and asbestos (i.p. 10 mg/mice) in mice CBA. We studied also the antioxidant activity and malonic dialdehyde concentration in blood serum as possible mechanism of ME and its possible modification. For the ME the micro-nuclei incidence in polychromatic bone marrow erythrocytes was scored. The reciprocal modification (potentiation) of both radiation and asbestos ME was established for combination "radiation, 2 Gy + asbestos", the additivity--for combination "radiation, 0.5 Gy + asbestos".
The effect of chronic emotional stress and ethanol on NCAM and GFAP levels in cerebral cortex, hippocampus, striatum, cerebellum and medulla-ponts was investigated. We report about increase of NCAM and GFAP concentrations in the cerebral cortex and decline of the total protein contents in the investigated brain areas of middle-sleep rats under the stress conditions. Ethanol in the dose of 0.5 g/kg during 7 days evoked opposite changes of NCAM and GFAP concentration and elevation of the total protein level in medulla-pons. In the other brain areas level changes of only one (any) of the two investigated neurospecific proteins were observed. Ethanol injections to the stressed rats normalized the relative weights of adrenals and the level of total protein in the brain areas but didn't normalize the behavioral activity in an "open field" test. Besides, we observed a dramatic increase of GFAP level (over 10 times) in the medulla-pons which may be connected with glioses. These results suggest the specific changes of NCAM and GFAP contents under the chronic emotional stress which don't correlate with changes in the hypophysis-adrenals system.
A dynamic model for studying man's movements is proposed. Lagrange equations of the second order are used. Differential equations of the model are presented in the matrix form, and all the coefficients involved are calculated from recurrent formulae. The dynamic model described is easily algorythmized. Differentiating operations can be thus avoided which are realized on electron computers with difficulities.
The authors evaluated the capacities of transcranial electrostimulation and the specific features of its impact on reparative regeneration of damaged tissues of different types, such as the dermal and gastroduodenal epithelium, hepatic cells, connective tissue, peripheral nerve fibers, on animal experimental pathological models and compared with the results of treatment of respective pathology in patients.
