[The evaluation of pharmacological tests with nitroglycerin, anaprilin, korinfar and No-Shpa in patients with stable stenocardia of effort].

Acute pharmacological tests were done in 47 patients with stable II-III functional class angina of effort. Indices for central hemodynamics were determined with the aid of Iu. T. Puskar' modification thoracic rheovasography techniques. In the acute test in patients with exertional angina, nitroglycerin, anaprilin, corinfar, and no-shpa tend to reduce energy expenditure on displacement of one litre of cardiac output, with corinfar being also capable of lowering total peripheral vascular resistance, no-shpa tending to augment the cardiac index and reduce total peripheral vascular resistance 30 minutes after the intake of the drug (but this effect is but of short duration: it lasts for only 30 minutes).

[The interrelationship between electrolytes and phase analysis of systole in toxic goiter].

Potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium were determined in the plasma and erythrocytes of 129 patients suffering from toxic goiter; phasic structure of the systole of the left ventricle was studied as well. Correlation coefficients between the indices of electrolyte metabolism and the phasic structure of the systole were studied for the purpose of ascertaining the relationship between the changes in the contractile function of the myocardium and the electrolyte level. The most significant correlative association was revealed between the electrolytes and the period of ejection, the mechanical and the acoustic systoles.

[Effect of antianginal therapy on lipid peroxidation in patients with ischemic heart disease].

Measurement of the blood lipid peroxidation products (lipid hydroperoxides, dienic ketones, and malonic dialdehyde) was carried out in 26 patients with stable angina of effort and in 31 patient with postinfarction cardiosclerosis with due regard for the ejection fraction (intact, reduced) before treatments administration and after institution of antianginal therapy (nitrates, beta-adrenoblockers, nifedipine). The antianginal therapy has been shown to have but insignificant effect on both blood plasma contents of dienic ketones and plasma/erythrocyte content of malonic dialdehyde, which fact is regarded as an indication for use of antioxidant agents.
