[Analysis of risk factors for the formation of internal exposure dose to the rural population and effectiveness of preventive actions in agriculture in the long-term after the Chernobyl Accident].

The regularities in the formation of internal exposure doses to the population living in the Chernobyl affected areas are described. The factors responsible for changes in doses are identified and their significance is assessed. The effects of countermeasures on the radiation situation variations are estimated. The need for an addressed application of countermeasures is shown with taking into account types of rural settlements based on the radioecological factors responsible for dose formation in the population.

[Homostyly as an efficient tool for development of homozygous lines of buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench)].

A genetic scheme of pollination in buckwheat Fagopyrum esculentum Moench and the specificity of work with its recessive mutations identified on the basis of heterostyly are considered. The possibility of obtaining a genetically determined donor of self-fertility on the basis of S1 allele controlling the development of the homostyle flower type in buckwheat is examined. The possibility of using homostyly as an efficient tool for the development of self-fertile homozygous lines and making their genetic analysis is also discussed.

[Bronchopulmonary aspergillosis in leukemia patients].

Among 180 patients with varying leukemias bronchopulmonary aspergillosis was diagnosed in 4 (2.2%). Further development of the methods for the treatment of the main disease in this category of patients permits prognosing a significant rise in the incidence of bronchopulmonary aspergillosis. The character of the clinical course of this infection and the ways for further improvements of its diagnosis in lifetime of leukemia patients have been considered.
