[Hemodynamic effects of purine nucleosides in regional ischemia and reperfusion].

The rat hearts were subjected to 60-min ischemia by left coronary artery ligation followed by 60-min reperfusion, involving intravenous adenosine inosine or guanosine given in a dose of 1 mg/kg.min-1 in the first 30 minutes of reperfusion. Ischemia and subsequent reperfusion caused a progressive decrease in cardiac output and coronary blood flow. Adenosine was found to enhance coronary blood flow and increase cardiac and stroke outputs. Inosine produced nearly the same, but less pronounced effect. Guanosine increased cardiac output without changing coronary blood flow.

[Effect of adenosine on hemodynamic changes during the development of neurogenic myocardial lesions].

The influence of adenosine on hemodynamic changes induced by electrostimulation of reflexogenic zone of aorta was studied in this article. It was shown that 3-hour electrostimulation increased the total peripheral resistance and decreased cardiac output and aortic pressure. Intravenous infusion of adenosine during electrostimulation led to the normalization of main indices of hemodynamics.

Adenosine↗

[Hemodynamic and metabolic effects of adenosine in experimental myocardial infarction].

Adenosine, administered intravenously (0.25 mg/kg-1/min-1) to rabbits with experimental myocardial infarction, produced a drop in arterial pressure and total peripheral resistance, normalized stroke volume, increased ATP content at the margin of the infarcted area, and reduced LDG activity and increased SDG activity in the ischemized region.

Adenosine↗

[Effect of adenosine on hemodynamics in cats].

In anesthetized cats, i.v. administration of adenosine reduced the mean systemic blood pressure and systemic vascular resistance while increasing the cardiac output and coronary blood flow.

[Effect of guanosine-5'-monophosphate and inosine on the isolated heart of the frog].

The chronotropic and inotropic effects of guanosine-5'-monophosphate (5'-GMP) and inosine were investigated in isolated frog hearts. 5'-GMP induced biphasic chronotropic and inotropic responses: positive those were inhibited with propranolol, the negative inotropic response could not be inhibited with atropine. Inosine was able to enhance the positive inotropic response to 5'-GMP.

[Use of a collalysine preparation in histochemical practice].

The possibility of employing collalysin used in clinical practice for histochemical studies was explored. Collalysin which is a highly purified bacterial collagenase has a marked collagenolytic effect and, unlike commercial collagenases, exerts no nonspecific effect on collagen fibers.
