[Morphofunctional state of main arteries of the head in patients with ischemic stroke during rehabilitation].

Findings of the transcranial ultrasound duplex scanning method given to patients (99 patients aged from 60 to 74 years) who had had ischemic stroke in carotid territory showed that the frequency of different degree of vessel structure formation located on homolateral side to the lesion focus doesn't depend on hemispheric localization of old ischemic stroke. Combined stenoses of carotid and vertebrobasilar vessels were diagnosed twofold in patients with ischemic lesion in the left hemisphere of the brain.

[Plastid RNA polymerases].

Plastids have a very interesting transcription apparatus that gives us an opportunity to investigate mono- and multisubunut RNA polymerase interaction under conditions of complex biogenesis of the organelles and the necessity to coordinate the expression of genes located in different cell compartments. The last decade has been a breakthrough in the study of chloroplast RNA polymerases. The most important advances are the discovery of nucleus-encoded RNA polymerase and nuclear gene family for sigma subunits of plastid-encoded RNA polymerase, the obtaining of knockout-mutants on the subunits of plastid-encoded RNA polymerase, and the revelation of this RNA polymerase reorganization during plastid biogenesis. The hypothesis concerning labor division between two plastid RNA polymerases has been proposed. The review focuses on the analysis of modern information about organization, function and evolution of plastid RNA polymerases.

[Vibration activity of muscles].

Experimental research of autooscillations of biomechanical links in the equilibrium state was carried out. It is found that the induced vibrations of all the links of biomechanical systems can be described by the equations being true for mechanical oscillator vibrations. With the muscular strain being constant and moment inertia of the biomechanical system changing the energy of mechanical vibrations is constant, but the ratio of kinetic energy of the biomechanical oscillator to oscillation frequency is invariant under the muscular strain changes.
