[Transarferial xero-arteriography--an alternative method in conventional angiography of the extremities (author's transl)].
The technique of transarterial xeroarteriography and its results are presented. The range of indication of transarterial xero-arteriography is the demonstration of localised vascular sections of the arteries of the extremities. The advantages are, above all, the simple and less hazardous examination technique, the possibility of examination on an outpatient basis, examination despite anticoagulant therapy, and especially of examining bedridden patients eg in the ward. Drawbacks are: The limited format of the xerox cassettes, the relative sensitivity of the cassettes, and extinction phenomena occurring during the xeroradiography.
