Hospital chief financial officers frustrated over some of the rules implementing last year's Medicare capital payment regulations may get some relief soon. HCFA's annual PPS regulations, expected to be released as early as later this month, will include a softening--or at least clarification--of some of the capital rules CFOs consider too harsh or onerous, one top HCFA official said.
