Implementing pharmacy services in a family practice.

Abstract

As medical groups compete for patients in the healthcare marketplace, they will continue to evaluate ways to control costs and expand services. One alternative to a traditional family practice is offered at the South Omaha Family Practice Clinic--a model group practice that includes on-site pharmacy services. Designed and maintained by the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, the group's medical and pharmacy services provide continuity of patient care through an integration of medical and prescription records.
