[Day surgery--anaesthesiologic aspects].
Abstract
Adequate selection of suitable surgical procedures and patients is mandatory for good results in major ambulatory surgery. Proper information to the patients about pre-, per- and postoperative aspects is essential. Careful selection of anaesthesiological drugs and methods may provide safe, pain-free and comfortable anaesthesia; with a potential for discharge a few hours after the procedure. The article discusses these aspects.
