Incontinence aids in perspective.
Abstract
Social continence is achieved through successful use of incontinence aids, which should only be considered after a thorough investigation. They may be used temporarily in conjunction with treatment or long term. The authors provide a brief overview of aids commonly used in the management of urinary incontinence and suggest ways of assisting the individual or carer to make the correct choice.
