Exploring the sting.
Abstract
Stinging on insertion has been reported by hydrogel lens wearers after use of the AOsept system. The authors investigated the pH of AOsept and various salines used in conjunction with AOsept to determine if there were differences. A significant range (6.57-7.25) was found in the various solutions. The authors recommend the use of a sterile buffered saline as a morning soak for patients using the AOsept system.
