[Delayed handling of epicrises--a persisting problem].

Abstract

Reports from the local hospital to the patient's own general practitioner were registered in 1993. The average time from when the patient left hospital to when the report was received was 19 days for in-patients and 12 days for out-patients. The author discusses the reasons for the delay.
