The article stresses that railway hygiene has accumulated vast experience in evaluation of working environment of railway construction workers in severe climate conditions, thorough hygienic characteristics cover the main construction occupations and the exploitation staffers. The research helped to elaborate variety of hygienic regulations on occupational hygiene and work schedules for railway construction workers, on hygienic basis of the workers' everyday life in severe climate conditions.
Coming to Far North from moderate climate area, humans face completely different, specific electromagnetic surroundings. Far North is a place with higher levels of Earth magnetic field, that is due to increased number of potent radiostations, radars, electric supply lines and other electromagnetic field sources. This specific complex of electromagnetic factors can contribute significantly to unfavorable changes in health state of Far Northern residents and requires thorough studies and careful attention.
Occupational diseases in Far Northern conditions are aggravated by severe climate conditions. The role of allergic diseases becomes higher. The authors suggest ecologic and genetic concept of occupational diseases formation.
