Abstract

In the UK and elsewhere radiographers have taken over some of the work traditionally done by radiologists and this is blurring the boundaries between the two professions. Radiologists may wonder where such changes will lead. This article explores the reasons behind these changes, the practical and medicolegal constraints, and the effect of such changes on the provision of radiology services in the future.
