The genome sequence of Vicia sativa L., 1753 (Fabales: Fabaceae).

We present a genome assembly of Vicia sativa (Narrowleaf Vetch; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Fabales; Fabaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 748.92 megabases and 1 751.13 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (98.95%) is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial sequence has a length of 405.76 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 124.62 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 11 105 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

The genome sequence of Carex sylvatica Huds., 1762 (Poales: Cyperaceae).

We present a genome assembly of Carex sylvatica (Wood-sedge; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Poales; Cyperaceae). The genome sequence has a total length of 363.24 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.79%) is scaffolded into 29 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial sequences have lengths of 1715.64, 74.78 and 77.37 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 215.14 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

The genome sequence of Prunus padus L., 1753 (Rosales: Rosaceae).

We present a genome assembly of Prunus padus (bird cherry; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Rosales; Rosaceae). The genome sequence has a total length of 454.49 megabases. Most of the assembly (97.36%) is scaffolded into 16 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial sequences have lengths of 280.28 and 155.92 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 158.96 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

The genome sequence of the Taiga Bean Goose, Anser fabalis (Latham, 1787) (Anseriformes: Anatidae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Anser fabalis (Taiga Bean-Goose; Chordata; Aves; Anseriformes; Anatidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 1 316.27 megabases. Most of the assembly (87.89%) is scaffolded into 38 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.74 kilobases. The genome sequence of the Lesser noctule, Nyctalus leisleri (Kuhl, 1817) (Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae).

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Nyctalus leisleri (Leisler's bat; Chordata; Mammalia; Chiroptera; Vespertilionidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 2 226.32 megabases and 2 021.25 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (88.57%) is scaffolded into 23 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X and Y sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 17.23 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 18 985 protein-coding genes. We present a genome assembly of Euphorbia lathyris (caper spurge; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Malpighiales; Euphorbiaceae). The genome sequence has a total length of 1 020.39 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.88%) is scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial sequences have lengths of 886.36, 41.02, 86.31 and 32.73 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 163.75 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 26 361 protein-coding genes. The genome sequence of the Golden Plusia, Polychrysia moneta (Fabricius, 1787) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae).

We present a genome assembly from a male specimen of Polychrysia moneta (Golden Plusia; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Noctuidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 430.64 megabases and 425.60 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (98.46%) is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.26 kilobases. This work is part of Project Psyche, a collaborative programme generating genomes for European butterflies and moths.

We present the haploid genome assembly of an individual male Seladonia tumulorum (the bronze furrow bee; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Halictidae). The genome sequence is 479 megabases in span. Most of the assembly (84.28%) is scaffolded into 17 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome was also assembled and is 17.3 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 19,308 protein-coding genes.
