Estate planning: some first steps.

Abstract

After you've worked a lifetime to build an estate, it's possible for the federal government to snatch up to 55 percent of it away from your heirs, and this could happen even if you've made a will. Clearly, an estate not carefully and professionally planned is one destined for lawyers' pockets, the courts, and both federal and state taxes.
